![]() As a former division one athlete, exercise has always been a huge part of my life and there is no doubt that there is a link between mental health and exercise. (In fact, podcast coming soon on why!) When I injured my knee, I not only lost the mental health aspect of exercise, but the social aspects as well. I lost my community at my gym and people that cheered me on while I worked out and that I carried with me in life and throughout my day. Luckily, I am back in the gym and back to a more sound mind, body, spirit and community that surrounds me. I know the importance of sport, but I really know the value for our lives that the community of exercise and sport brings - and that is what I think fuels my body the most!
