Between 2008 and 2009, Swami Varadan lost his car, his job, his home, his uncle, his grandma and his best friend to cancer. Moving into his parent's 2 bedroom apartment caused him even more grief. After falling into a deep depression, Swami decided to end his life. He was 30 seconds away from walking in front of a train when he had a spiritual awakening. Now he is happier than ever and lives in Los Angeles as a meditation teacher, cook and author of “Urban Turban Cooking: 7 Mantras for Success, 7 Recipes for Healing.” The intention of this book is to feed your soul and feed your stomach.
