Ever want to boost your mood and feel better fast? Me too. We all have our down times or days in life. I have had times and days where it has seemed impossible to lift my mood. When I can remember this old wise formula and take a small action despite my mood, I always feel better ---sometimes even great.
Music Therapy Monday is a song that asks that question! Would you be happier in a different relationship, or do you see your ex and even though you love them, know it's not the right relationship? Sometimes through song we have the chance to reflect on our own life situations, so if you're in a relationship or thinking of an ex, check out the song below and listen to what your heart says and how it may relate to you!
Happy listening and seeking!

Spring is here and summer has almost arrived! While it is so wonderful to enjoy the flowers and opening up the windows again, with the sunshine comes the season of deer ticks and unfortunately most have us need to think about how to prevent Lyme Disease.
One out of every four or five deer ticks carry the dreaded disease, and many of us may even know someone who has been affected. It’s scary, especially for parents! The CDC estimates that 30,000 people are infected each year, but many other estimates are higher, with some being even ten times higher. While we don’t want anyone to avoid enjoying the outdoors, we DO wish to see you stepping outside wisely. And so we’ve provided some methods below which will help in preventing Lyme Disease.
Okay, so hurting people is never a good thing, but this song called Hurt Somebody is not only a good thing, but a great one! We hope this music therapy monday you enjoy this new track from Noah Kahan.

Anxiety? Stress? A Prescription Box for Proven at Home Tools: Just One Dose a Month to live Happier & Healthier
Do you ever feel so stressed or overwhelmed that you find yourself blinking back tears at the sight of the house or piles of laundry? I do. Sometimes I even pick it up and throw it across the room as hard as I can when no one is looking. I catch myself rushing sometimes for no reason and feeling anxious. On days like these, all I want to do is collapse on the bed and veg out to romantic comedies with boxes of munchies. On the seldom occasion when I actually have the opportunity to do just that, it is wonderful, but most of the time I need to make dinner for my daughter, read books, clean up the house, and work.
As a former division one athlete, exercise has always been a huge part of my life and there is no doubt that there is a link between mental health and exercise. (In fact, podcast coming soon on why!)
When I injured my knee, I not only lost the mental health aspect of exercise, but the social aspects as well. I lost my community at my gym and people that cheered me on while I worked out and that I carried with me in life and throughout my day. Luckily, I am back in the gym and back to a more sound mind, body, spirit and community that surrounds me. I know the importance of sport, but I really know the value for our lives that the community of exercise and sport brings - and that is what I think fuels my body the most!
We all have heard that phrase "retail therapy," but did you know know shopping can actually be good for you? Want to know why?
